If you mean from the new XK-R 06- then no they definitiely will not fit. If you mean from the old XKR 98-06 then yes they will fit as all the old XKs had the 5 x 120.65 pattern. There has been some discussion regarding fitting wheel arch extensions and if this is essential for the MOT or just to protect the paint on the rear wings smile

Hi and thanks - yes I meant the wheels off the "gorgeous" 06-07 xkr model. So thanks for saving me from making a huge mistake.

Does the latter part of you reply regarding arch extensions therefore imply that the 98-05 XKR 20inch "detroits" etc will not fit an 97 xk8 "legally" due to them extending beyond arch on the 97 xk8 then ?

Is the 98 - 05 XKR somehow diff to the 97-05 xk8 then - axle further inset, arches flared ?

Just asking as my next route was to look into putting Detroits, or Montreals on instead of the existing "flutes".

All XK8/R steel bodied wheels will fit all models, just if you have 20" or spacers they will stick out further.

I have never had any problems re MOT with spacers and fitting 285/40s on my 18" wheels.

Norman D is correct with his fitment spec's

Have also noticed that all late model XKR's with either 18" or 20" rims have a little rubber lip stuck on the back half of the rear arches with double sided tape to extend them a little

Probably a legal thing, wheels sticking out past arches is not good, they are about £30 each from your local friendly dealer laugh

So you could easily fit them if you decide to go with the 20's
