Vintage Fest somewhere in France ??

Just crossed from Caen to Portsmouth on the red eye overnighter. The ship was crammed with droolsome Jaguar machinery, most of it Vintage and too many types to list... XK150, Lister, modern stuff... as well as some boss Healeys. Saw an Ecurie Ecosse transporter on the Oxford road - just like the Corgi one in my study (less the chunks of missing paint).

All I could see was they had plates affixed to the front with a competitors number and "Rallye xxxxx International" where the xxx was indecipherable

Point of this is that they had all been to a rally somewhere on September 15th. Can anyone tell me what this event was/is as I'll be there next year...

There was a JEC Tour of Spain the 9th - 14th.

Although I don't think they were coming back via Caen

Tour to Angouleme, for the circuit du ramparts meeting. I've not been but I've read various reports and reviews and it is supposed to be a great event.
