...in North or West London?

I have a couple of what I think are electrical faults on my E39.

Rear passenger door lock solenoids intermittant.

A/C boost inoperative. (I've already replaced Final Stage Unit to no avail).

Many thanks.

There's a guy (Phil Crouch) who works from Birds in Uxbridge - he's not employed by Birds, but does so much stuff for them that he uses their workshop (or used to).

Thanks guys,

I'll give Phil Crouch a call first as he's reasonably close.

J & D in High Wycombe seem to have a huge following on that review site so will also call them.

Once again, thanks.

It's in tommorrow.

Crossing my fingers... just dropped onto the orange service light this morning and tbh it's running a bit rough. Not sure if that's cos it needs a service or because of the rad weld I shoved in to try and stop the coolant leak from the heater matrix (which seems to have worked).

I'll let you know how I got on... not sure if it's due an oil service or an inspection (both lights have come on on the dash so i'm assuming it's an inspection!)

So do I - honest guys who charge a fair price, always do a top job and will use OEM parts.

Gizmo,

Had an inspection 1 service.

Got a short list of advisorys but that's to be expected for the age of the car. Also needed new front pads (They were taken off for the inspection - I would have been back within a week to have them done - they were just about to go onto the sensor).

Also changed the oil and spark plugs (2 different types in there!). There's a couple of things i'll have to get done at the next service - fan belt etc.

Really pleased with it (Pulls like a train now) and I was shown all the parts they'd taken off (pads and spark plugs)

It came to £243.64 including vat.
