Just got a Blackberry 8820 on an Orange upgrade.

All seems well but I cant get the satnav to work..... in fact cant even find it on the device ! There is a option in settings to take a spot GPS reading which it does, but nothing else.

Tried downloading Blackberry maps but wont recognise the phone, Im wondering if Orange have hamstrung the phone in some way ? I tried calling orange but after being on hold twice fro almost min got bored ..

cheers in anticipation smile

Yeah I was assuming it woulndt be great but going through that 'new gadget' thing with it and just want to get it working.
I tried loading some other utilities I found online and none seem to wanr to load..iether Im even more of a tech numpty than I thought or Orange software is resiting it.

If its anything like mine the software is next to useless

A phone,
Web browser,
but primarily to get and send my mail its great,

for the rest I can live without it really

There are instructions on how to change the device so you can install the telmaps application somewhere on the web, involved changing some carrier setting in an xml file from memory. Got rid of my 8820 and got an 8310 so can't remember exactly.

Is the 8310 SatNav any good and is it worth the subscription?
