Apparently Roy Napier has bought a Gould.
Could that mark a return to the SHC / SSC?

Apparently it will be another father & son team as Roy & son Ross will be doing the driving!

Initially in the Scottish Hillclimb & Sprint Championships, but who knows where this will lead?

We were down having our initial test of the car at the Crail 1/4 mile drag strip on Sunday there - good oppurtunity to see what the car does in a straight line before looking to go round the turny bits!

Blimmin hell is it fast - certainly the fastest machine I have ever had the oppurtunity to have my rear end in. Somehow the hillclimbs (Doune especially) look really daunting now and big respect goes out to the likes of Wight Jnr, Groves & the like. Sittin behind the barriers I've always thought "I could easy do that"................

We did pick up the FTD though at 9.95sec for the 1/4. And that was having to lift off just after the 1/8mile marker to stop going near the gear indicator lights in top gear. Videos to be put up on youtube in due course!!

Doing my first spring in over 10 years in my Westie this weekend though so lookin forward to that.
