Is she going to make Duxford this weekend?
Can't see why not. She was flying yesterday evening and the show that's been cancelled this weekend is not because of the aircraft but because of the weather. Should be all systems go for Duxford biggrin

Of course the normal weather/servicability statement still applies smile

Her displays are VERY conservative compared to what Vulcans used to do back in the 70s. But that is fully understandable - given the effort and time that has been put into getting her back in the air.

I wouldn't have thought a fast low pass would be too taxing

Turned over Stratton Audley in Oxfordshire earlier today - a real double-take moment for a neighbour and me.

Cancelled at Southport today, now flying tomorrow instead. BBMF and Great War fliers also cancelled.

censoredbangheadbangheadbanghead

What do I have to do to see her in the air? It's cost me over £150 trailing about to different shows and all I've seen is a fast taxi. Oh, and a 10 minute static engine run at Brunters in biblical rain. Poo.

Now pondering wether to make the trek to Lancashire again tomorrow frown

Steve

PS. Just to add I'm not having a go at TVOC. Just fate.

Just been told it has taken off and is heading for Southport, should be there within the hour, unless weather forces it back.

Slightly off topic, but went up to the Mall at Cribbs Causeway next to Filton Airfield at lunchtime. I was treated to the sight of one of the Spitires taking off and buzzing the airfield repeatedly at very low altitude. It seemed to be at around 100 feet every time it passed but the pilot was clearly enjoying himself.
The sound as he repeatedly dived and climbed was wonderful.

Shame to see all the younger people walking past totally unmoved by such a glorious sight and sound!

I swear to God....she better be flying at Leuchars next Saturday or I'm going to be gutted! I saw one when I was in my early teens and the word "awesome" was penned to describe the Vulcan.
