I'm just getting back into playing with a local team and about to buy boots. What is the preferred boot, moulded studs or screw in studs?

Also does anyone use either Nike Total 90's or Tiempo's, if so what's your thoughts on either?

Thanks

Isn't boot choice dependent on hair colour? No1 rule.. gotta match the doohehe

sorry mate... couldn't resist; now I'll leave it for the legit replies. Good luck with the new club

I actually ended up buying 4 pairs until i found the ones that felt right for me. Its ok trying them on in the shops but until you actually play some football, you wont know which ones feel right. I now play in the same ones worn by Micheal Owen (not his actual booots)& they are spot on for me.

I like the older style boots (leather) rather than new style more plastic types.
I used to have the tiempo pro's and they were a good enough boot, Total 90's I cannot really comment on

FWIW I have Adidas World Cup mouldy's aka Copa Mondial and stud variations and love them...more or less the same design and leather for 20 years or more

MOULDY'S are for hard/firm surface and astro turf and studs for winter and softer ground

It'll depend on your feet really. I found Tiempo are quite comfy, but as has been said you may need to try a few pairs.
