Trip tomorrow, fuel gauge

Hi all,
I'm off for a trip in the TVR tomorrow (sun, roof down!) from Taunton to Paignton, this'll be the first decent run in the car since getting it.

Typically the fuel gauge has packed up, so can anyone give me an indication of the ave mpg for my S2 on the motorway so I'll be able to judge from the miles, if you see what I mean? I understand it's a 12 gallon tank, is this right?

I normally get around 25mpg in my S3c, probably get a bit more on a long motorway trip.

To be safe I would fill up again when you have done about 250 miles..

I would play safer than 250 miles. I get around 250 on a full tank in my S2 when driven on the motorway, but around town driving will reduce this so fill up every 200 to be safe!
