I was going to buy camping passes from the official website, but I have just checked and they are all gone frown .
This is starting to do my head in!! I'm in exactly the same situation, applied back in December, had email confirmation but no allocation letter. Emailed a couple of weeks ago and get standard reply about allocations being in a few months.

Was in two minds about just buying Karting Nord tickets and ignoring any allocation but didn't bother.

So now there's no camping available and no allocation. However, looking at how the 24hr has been handled I'd suggest that other sites will be made available soon online. Also, it could be that the allocations sorted by the ACO have exhausted the KN site and you'll get an email soon.

I'm going to hold on and wait.

ETA Karting Nord is now back online.

I will be in the Karting Nord site. Although that is I hope to be, have just got on to the ACO site to check my order (it would not let me on yesterday) and their system had changed my address to Afghanistan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really hope those tickets arrive or me and Osama will have to climb the fence!!!

I've never been to the Le Mans Classic. My NSX is allowed in the collectors area of the circuit as one of the "happy few" on the website, but I don't think I can camp there. Can anybody suggest a good place to set up camp or adopt me and my girl to camp in a club area? Doesn't matter which one. Don't think many NSXers are going this year.

Just received this email from the ACO in response to my question below.

Dear Sir,
Bookings for Le Mans Classic are registered but not treated now. You will receive a letter in a few months confirming your reservation.
People who already get their tickets must have ordered online.
Sincerely,

Dear Sir/Madam

I wondered if there was any news regarding my order. I understand others have now received their ticket allocations.

Thank you again

The problem is the event is in a 'few months' time. I guess I will just hang on and see what happens. The Agents will likely have tickets right upto the event I hope.

I'm an ACO member, just want to figure out someone who'll put up with my company so that i can try and book the right camp site! smile
We're now confirmed for Karting Nord camping Al. Had enough of waiting for the ACO and the website had space for KN so got tickets sorted. More than welcome to tag along with two Corvettes.

I've tried bumping myself into the Cobra area but with allocations already booked it didn't look promising. Just gone and got tickets online instead. You're welcome to pitch up with us, I'm hoping to get a gazebo down there split between the two cars if possible.

Exactly the same response I got. I'm quite impatient when it comes to booking stuff and with tickets available online I've just gone for them. My worry was what if KN is exhausted and we get allocated BSJ? Not taking that risk.

Phil, thanks again for the invite. Your days fit nicely and as we are both travelling from Yorkshire it would seem silly not to!

I'll email you to discuss further. Looks like it will be a case of volume v frequency biggrin

I have given up on ACO and booked tickets at Karting Nord. However there are no grandstand tickets left. Will I be able to pick these up on the day? I suppose ACO may allocate me some from my original request, any comments?

Little help here please guys.

I went to the classic two years ago, as a passenerger and part of a group, we camped in a field, (no facilities right outside an entrance (it cost next to nothing)

I have from then got a taste for it and aquired a tvr and will go again this year. I was planning to drive there in a much smaller group, pitch me tent, and walk in (after buying a ticket) as i did last time.

Whats the problem? Im guessing your tents are inside the circuit?

Current plan is to get to the circuit sat am - pitch tent an afore mentioned field, then off to Deauville sun night for ferry back on monday.

Thoughts?

Stourbridges2TVR, we are based in Stourbridge as well! Just down the road from one of your pubs smile

The two sites discussed on here (Maison Blanche and Karting Nord) are both within the confines of the circuit. Maison Blanche is slightly more desirable but these tickets are not on general sale anymore (advance orders only).

I've sent you an email with some more details

I think the ACO are opening Beausejour for the Classic as well.

According to my contact, numbers are running neck and neck in terms of the classic & 24 hr at the moment. Shame. Seems too many people have found out about the Classic. Bloody chat forums!

Weve finally managed to get confirmation of out 16 rooms in a hotel on the outskirts of Le Mans.

We're taking about 20 Tivs from our region & are really looking forward to it.

From what I know there's no official PH thing going on for the Classic. You'll get a ticket with a bit of looking around, try Club Arnage, BeerMountain forums or just buy from an agent. We're on Karting Nord so just look out for two Corvettes with 'parking' signs out front.

I'd not forgotten you Al, I was referring to the parking signs I've made for the Classic. Will chat tonight about whether you'd like one for the Fez.
