I have an S1 that recently developed a habit of the motor stopping when I stop at traffic lights, give way signs etc.
Being in New Zealand there are no TVR agents handy, and it is only recently that TVRs have been imported. Even if I talked to the nearest agents (570km away) they are unlikely to be able to help.
Can anyone help me with this. Note that I generally do my own repairs.

Hmm.. Mine does this once in a while; when driving and slowing to idle it just cuts. Heard that it could be a throttle pot problem, but haven't taken the probing any further as its a very infrequent problem and not really that much of an issue for me. It will be sorted at the next service I think, so will let you know..

You wont have a throttle pot on an S1, but if the idle revs progressively drop and occasional stalling occurs you could have a look at the airflow meter. Quite often a good clean-up works wonders.
