Hi Alex

Fernhursts, brought my first TRV a Chim from them about 8 months ago. Very professional outfit and a really nice bunch of guys IMHO. I would thoroughly recommend them to anybody for sales and servicing.

Racing Green, went to there open day a few months back and was very impressed with there set up. They also got the laser wheel aligning equipment that looks pretty impressive.
Fernies ain't got one of these YET!
Prices for servicing seemed on a par with Fernies.

No dealing with Hawthorns.

Hope this helps.

Racing Green is a very nice place with good equipment. You need to talk to John Haywood who runs the Racing Green Operation, and as of this morning was driving a T350 as the bugger went past me whilst I was walking in the rain.

Just to add, I have nothing to do with Racing Green, I have just been impressed with the set-up.

The sales guys at Hawthorns (Jamie, Jason and Jonathan) are all top blokes and offer a good, friendly service.

I haven't used their service dept in over 18 months and do not wish to comment on my experiences when I did.

Went to the open day down at Racing Green and agree that it looks like an impressive set up, all seemed very friendly but haven't ever used them.

Bought my Chim from Fernies and would happily recommend them. Very helpful.

Never been to Hawthorns but belive that there is an open day down at Hawthorns on 5th July. Anyone else going?

Fernhurst are very professional. Not the cheapest cars on the market, but you gets what you pays for. They prep the cars nicely and their aftersales service is excellent (or at least it has been so far ). An example: we asked them to fit a set of pedal extenders to the Cerb, and when we got the car back they'd replaced the throttle cable as well, under the warranty, because it "wasn't quite right". Very impressed with them so far.

Since visiting on their open-day I have used Racing Green for an annual service, also can recommend the wheel alignment and balance facility. They also gotme gong when I broke down once (ecu problem). Excellent service, nice bunch of people and a professional but relaxed atmosphere in the workshops. Rich...

It's an open weekend rather than a day tho', so either 5th or 6th is fine. Surrey TVRCC + hopefully others will be attending on the Sunday.

Cheers,

Steve

Isn't even run in at that mileage, let alone having it's bugs ironed out.

Generally speaking, by 10,000 miles most TVRs are well fettled and have had all their bugs ironed out.

(Very rough rule of thumb - bound to be plenty of exceptions)

Fernies have done servicing on my old Griff 500
and always did a first rate job for a very reasonable
price.

Racing Green looked good but the servicing pricing
was very expensive.

Can not say enough good stuff about Racing Green. Relaxed, helpful and patient.

Had a 12,000 done there 2 months ago and had the 4 wheel alignment and 4 new tyres precision balanced by them. Excellent service, only missed one small (tiny - I am anal about the Griffith) thing which Martin was very apologetic about yesterday when I dropped it off for its next 6,000 yesterday before Zolder.

Bearing in mind that I phoned on Monday morning and asked Martin whether he could fit me in and have the car finished for Wednesday afternoon before Zolder and he said he would !! The workshop was rammed as well !

When you consider that Patrick Head's own MK2 Jaguar is there and looked after by them, full restorations are going etc etc I feel very safe leaving the Griffith in their hands. Workshop is in mint condition, clean, well presented and full of nice bits of kit ..

Speak to Martin in servicing and he'll do what he can to help.

Servicing prices are in fact very competitive compared to other Main Dealers although not at independents levels.
