Just curious, how do you find driving without a rear vision mirror or window? Do the side mirrors cover them? How practical is reverse parking?

The body tapers down behind the cockpit until it is flat at the back lip of the engine cover. The result is that you can see clearly behind you in either mirror. However, I am told that if you have the rear wing it has the knack of obscuring those blue light thingies you see on the roof of some cars
Most drivers I have seen open the door and stick their head out to help when reversing.

of cause you can always buy the model with the rear window and rear view mirror.......

For those who decide a GTR is the only way the other option most miss is fitting the Canam's wing mirrors which are in a better position.

I know many people who actually preffer the look to the GTR one's (I am not one of them) and I see no reason for them not to fit.
On my car I can see perfectly in them and I have a rear wing.

I have yet to mount my mirrors (GTR) and will wait until the wing is in position before doing so. I've had many reassure me that visibility is fine but the Canam mirrors look like a better option.

I have no problems with the rear visibility with the factory GTR mirrors.
There is one flaw in their design though, they are designed for a right hand drive car, so when adjusted properly on a left hand drive car the mirror glass is out past the mirror housing on the right side and well inside the mirror housing on the left side.

Jeff,

Is it possible to recitify the problem by installing the left mirror motor into the rhs and vice versa?

Seeing as how I dont own an Ultima (yet!!), this suggestion really is pie in the sky stuff, but it may be possible!

Sorry.... don't let me mislead you into thinking the GTR mirrors arn't any good.
Having driven one they are massivelly more effective than my Bike and its only reversing that's a little tricky.... and maybe those blue lights.

All I am saying is that the can-am mirrors are all but perfect and I think are interchangable.

I rarelly use my rear view mirror as the wing mirrors give an almost total view both behind and to the side.

Say Jeff, how are you going in finding the "lost" hp and how goes the 1/4 mile runs?

Haven't been able to get to the dyno or track yet. I've got a list of things to try on the dyno.
Too busy driving it to shows and cruise nights. I'm starting to feel like a Rock Star the way the crowds form when I show up at an event.
My goal is to have everything dialed in by Oct.
