2 problems with my Clio 172 (speedo and windscreen washers)

1. The Speedo has stopped working. (it is a Phase 2 with the sensor on the gearbox)I have unplugged the wiring and the sensor but it is difficult to tell if thats the problem. I put a multimeter across each of the 3 prongs and got no connectivey between them. Should any be connected to each other or does it need the spindle turning to receive a pulse?

2. The Winscreen and lights washers have stopped working. The back works fine, pump works, relay clicks etc, but not a sound for the fronts. The wipers dont come on when i pull the stalk for the washers either. (though the wipers work fine manually) Could this be a problem with the switch in the stalk, or are the front and back washers seperate?

think ive got to the bottom of them myself.

There is a white piece of plastic that the speedo sesor locates in which has snapped, and the connecter coming from the wipe/wash stock was hanging off. thanks again to those frenchmen car builders!
