I don't think this has been posted before but there is a "classic car" meet from about 11:30am on the first Sunday of every month at The Goat at Hertford Heath. Usually a good selection of old and modern cars (anything from 20 to 50) and a pleasant place to spend a couple of hours if the weather is good.

Hertford Heath is just outside Hertford on the A10 side.

Thanks for the heads up. This would be a good excuse to go and see my oldest bestest friend who lives in Hertford and sponge some Sunday lunch

Could be persuaded to bring a modern classic at this rate.. wink (That would be the classic mini, if it's coming to live here)

I had a good time when I went a couple of years ago, a wide selection of cars turned up smile
However, if the weather is good you will need to get there early to park!

I think it used to be orgnised by Rod Leach, so there always used to be a good turn out of original Cobra's amongst other interesting cars. I used to go regularily in the late 80's and early 90's might have to take a run over there again.

Just wanted to bring this back to the top as the next meet is this Sunday. Anyone going from here?

If you want to park near the pub, you need to arrive between 11:30am and noon depending on the weather.

We may be there - we have a bucket load of work to do on the house though, so can't say for sure.

I could well be tempted.

However, two kids means it'll be the shopping car, as the mini isn't here yet... frown

Blimey!!!!

In Wellham Green, I drive through there twice a day,(at 30mph I might add, unlike the Orcs) I never thought such an amazing automotive collection was on my doorstep!

Has this been going for a long time? (20 odd years?) When I was a kid I lived in Barnet and my dad took me to a classic car meet at a pub in that area (he had/has a green Healey Silverstone if that jogs any memories).

I've now moved back into the area and I was browsing to see if there was any car activity locally. smile
