Hi all. Picked up my new XK ths week, weather crap, and car filthy already so no pics till I get out and give it some TLC tomorrow. Have to confess it is gorgeous in Emerald Fire livery. Only two slightly neg comments compared to my 6 series. 1) lack of meaningful storage in cockpit and 2) the sat nav screen. Whilst being much easier to use than the I drive the screen is not best placed and I dont appear to be getting traffic info. In my BM all forward hazards were displayed but on the Jag very little is coming up. Yes I have sat on loo reading the Sat directions but 1st impressions I favour the BM system. Its what you get used to I guess. Other than that oh is it delivering. Cant tell you how many people thought I was mad going green but I love it. My colleague at work asked me tonight if it was worth £10,000 more than my previous BMW. After 2 days errrr yeah is the answer. Absolutely gorgeous car. Cant get Di out of it now.

Any tips on Sat Nav greatfully recieved.

Tony..... Di's better half

Nope, you were spot on to get Emerald Fire. My last XKR was it's predecessor Jag Racing Green, and am in envy as I bottled it and bought a black XKR  hehe

I haven't got to grips with mine yet as I don't do much driving with the satnav, but in the last week with nightmares on the M25, it has told me beautifully all hazards and tail backs very accurately.

Make sure you have selected Classic FM as the frequency source for your TMC info, and ticked all the boxes you wish to be displayed. Its buried in the menu, but simple enough to find. I haven't driven a Bimmer so don't know what kind of things you may be missing?

Yes, definitely get them pics up, dry weekend ahead so no excuses, the rugby isn't on until 7:30pm wink

Glad you dumped the whale for a British cat. thumbup
