Well, it looks like I'm about to have my first big expense in just over two years

Managed to blow the diff a week or so ago, and according to the garage, it's the crown wheel and pinion (there's actually a tooth missing from the crown wheel). The garage hasn't had much luck so far sourcing parts, so I was wondering if anyone here knew of some good places to try first - It's the GKN diff on a 4.3 Griffith.

Cheers, any help gratefully recieved

Well, my garage (not a dealer but an approved servicer, goes back to when a small dealer supplied the cars in Jersey but couldn't service them)says the factory don't have any GKN diffs or parts left, and he's been chasing around contacts given him from the factory with little success.

As it happens, I've found a used diff from a breakers this morning that I'm going to give a go.

Had this problem myself - Bernie at Competition Transmission (www.gearboxman.com I think) had to look hard to get a new CW&P for mine. He said I'd got the last one in the country ... but there must be plenty lying around in dead cars etc.
