After my last brand new merc I swore I wouldn't get another - although that was mainly because I hated the dealersranting

Although i've got one now (second hand) I only use independant specialists

Ask to see the PDi sheet and use it to get a free service or a discount off a part - I go to West Kirby instead of Chester - they have done me well in the past

On the face of it, that's outrageous - the Mercedes OTR road price includes a full tank of fuel.

Regarding using other local dealers, the same company (Inchcape) owns the Chester, Wirral, Liverpool etc dealers anyway.

I've used MB Chester twice, most recently a couple of weeks ago. First time was fine but this time wasn't good. Courtesy car had no fuel (recurring theme there) and they simply couldn't find several reported faults then took me for a drive in rush hour traffic for me to demo the faults which was hopeless. They also said the wheel alignment was fine, but noted an advisory on the MOT that the NSF tyre edge was excessively worn. Doh!

Perhaps the worst thing was that both times they appeared to have no sense of urgency whatsoever, like my time really didn't matter. This last time it took 35mins to drop my car off. The same thing at TwoMillsHonda a couple of weeks before took just a few mins.

As has been mentioned, you should have had a FULL tank of fuel....We did..scratchchin

Unfortunate, regarding the fluid leak, but stick with it, I am sure you will be very happy with the car after the inital bad experience....driving

It's true the OTR price includes a full tank of fuel, so it should definately not be empty. Best way to get them back is on the CSI questionnaire you will recieve in a few weeks.

Sorry to hear about your problems so far though. Hope it all gets sorted very quickly for you.

The OTR price includes a full tank of juice but did you pay list price? I know a few places will only put in a full tank if you pay list, discounted prices get less fuel in them. When I worked at Dixon Motors at one point our GM would only sign off £7 a car in fuel (we upped him from the £3 he suggested as that didn't even turn the light off).

I did think of that, but the Mercedes 'package' of the list price includes the car, delivery, registration and tank of fuel. Regardless of the final price agreed, the package shouldn't change unless agreed.

Glad to see Mercedes Dealerships living up to their reputation!
Really hope you get this sorted fella.
Better yet, return the car and take your business to Audi...
