Thompsons water seal. 'bout a tenner for a big tin from B&Q etc (that should last your ownership of the car). Give it a couple of coats - make sure you cover up the paintwork first & clean any excess off ruber seals afterwards.

Or "Fabsil" (IIRC) from camping shops. (No not the Graham Norton ones, the ones with tents)

Why not refurbish the whole thing with a Renovo kit?

Fabsil is excellent but expensive. Alot of people find the Thompsons stuff to work well and is a fraction of the cost.

I use Fabsil but will try the Thompsons stuff next time I buy.

My hood is black but it soons becomes very dark grey instead. I use Renovo colour restorer(like black ink) to put the colour back and Fabsil (big aerosol, probably not the best way to apply it) in-between times if I think it needs it. Try not to get either on the glass or bodywork, esp the Renovo.
