Right,

Just had a chat with Pete Claridge from Masters Motorsport (who run the Ultima in the GTs).

The team are trying to organise a parade lap for Ultima owners at the Oulton Park meeting on the 12th/13th of July.

The drivers parade will take place during the lunchtime break, before the afternoon's racing.

To make this viable, we'd need about a dozen cars. We'd have a dedicated parking area and entry 'may' be free, but is more likely to be on a 2 for 1 basis.

I strongly encourage you lot to support the team (and the marque!) in this. For those of you who've never been on a track before, this is a great way to have a leisurely cruise (it's a parade lap not a race!!!) round Oulton Park which is a FANTASTIC circuit.

If you would like to come, email me at stig@ultima-gtr.info with your details. We need DEFINITE attendences only as it will be a tad embarrasing if they arrange the parade and only 3 cars bother to show up.

So, show your support and have your 5 mins of fame in (hopefully) the summer sun.

Stop besmirching the name of Stig''s dolly. She's a lovely 6 footer, although I'm worried by the nuts...

Errr, now back to the convoy - how many of you are going?

Surely the trusty Citroen won't be pressed into service again, Paul?

Oulton Park is in Cheshire. Any search on the net will reveal plenty of sites that give directions.

Dom - Lets hope not eh? Still, it would be a shame to be first to arrive and first back AGAIN now wouldn't it?

Info received tonight via David Scott (Aaron's dad and GT organiser)
"The final parking area (for the Ultimas - MC)will be allocated after parking up due to pressure on paddock space. Assuming the timetable is intact we will run the cars for one lap on Saturday lunchtime. If they are only there on Sunday there will be no opportunity for track time."

Hope this helps.

Well?

Have had a resounding response of oooh, 1 regarding this. If anyone else is going (Saturday for the parade) then can they express their interest today?

Sorry CJ my car is still sick and would not make it as far as Cheshire. I need to get the ignition sorted this weekend.
