Corolla Stereo Spec & rear view mirror

Odd request I know, but does anyone know if the standard cd headunit in the corolla T-sport (2002-2004) had the ability to play back mp3 cd's?

Also does the same model have the electrochromide rear view mirror, which I assume is an auto-dimming mirror.

If not is it easy to retro-fit one.

I know they don't have the chromatic mirror and am also pretty certain they won't play MP3 files either. The stereo can be replaced as with any other car, but you will need a new facia surround to make it fit in the hole left. As for the mirror, that will require a bit more work. I think they run off an ignition live and an earth, so they will need to sourced and run up into the headlining. Also you will need to be careful with the old mirror as the bracket that holds it to the screen is bonded to the screen!

The Electrochromatic rear view mirror came standard on the T-Sport (and T-Spirit) when the range was facelifted in July 2004. Im sure retro fitting is possible, just not heard of it being done before.
