A few questions

Trying to sort out a few things with the Griff, I need to get the centre console out to check/clean the earth, for this I need to release the hand brake, how is that done? Also need to know how to remove the switch panel on the centre console.
Lastly need to find the Steve Heath book I bought and haven’t used yet, but I don’t think that’s something you can help me with

You need to slacken off the large plastic brake cable adjuster, lurking somewhere around the top of the diff area,the hand brake lever needs to be as near vertical as you can get it. Release the nuts at the back of the console where it fits to the parcel shelf and pull back and up. You should find two main earth points.

As far as the switch panel is concerned, on the 4.x cars there are a couple of screws hidden behind the rocker switches but on a 500 its probably different.

Thanks, I’ll have another look tonight hopefully, I undid the back of the console but couldn’t find the adjuster to release the handbrake cable.

On mine the adjuster is above the diff, on the drivers side. You can get to it when the wheel has been removed.

I found it a lot easier to remove the rear disc pads , than trying to get at the adjuster once the pads are clear the hand brake leaver will go to the near vertical position

To clean the earth, first remove the rear brake pads...

Only in a TVR!!!!!

I just unhooked the cable from one of the guides on the chassis and this was enough to slacken the Handbrake enough to lift the centre console over.
