Strange Police Camera Van at Junc 6 Slough Tonight...

I saw an unusual Police camera van parked on the grass of the dual carriageway towards Slough as you come off the roundabout at J6 of the M4.

It had windows at the rear with two at high level, one of which had an infrared lamp in it.

Any ideas what it was - have they started nightime scamera van operations..?

Probably a DVLA Van reading the number plate checking the details to send a summons for unpaid Road Tax

It's often there spotting those without proper paperwork. They pull them over at the roundabout by the hotels. Police and tow trucks usually park by the roundabout in the residential bit over on the left.

That's what I thought when I first saw it, but it was dark and there were no supporting trucks, bikes etc that you normally get. Perhaps it's just for road tax dodgers abd they get a fine in the post..?

not seen this there - i usually go to ice hockey on sat night abotu 1030 PM and i cant recall seeing it. When I leave its late (0130AM) and I am usually going a bit faster than I should. I will keep an eye out now.
