Something strange (but good) has happened to my Cerbera.

I had to beat a set of lights the other day so put my foot down, when I got over the other side it felt like something had snapped or come loose from the accelerator pedal, it felt a lot softer and sensitive and not the same as usual. I stopped the car and found nothing wrong.

When driving it, it now feels like a different car completely. The pedal is a lot lighter and you only have to touch it slightly and it moves quickly. The car now goes like a rocket, I mean very very fast, a lot faster than before. It pulls in any gear and I don't feel the need to change down a gear anymore to get some speed up. It feels like I've got rid of 3 passengers and all their luggage and adding another 50BHP on top!!!! It's a strange one. It even sounds a lot better, more alive and a much better exhaust note.
The car just goes and goes and I don't get any lag or delay in delivery of power.

I did put a few posts up here sometime ago about me having some throttle problems and I always thought the car wasn't right and wasn't pulling properly but does anyone know what this could be???

I've checked (OIL pressure) all OK, (TEMP) all OK, (MPG) all OK maybe even better now.

Any ideas anyone???

Sometimes cars of all descrptions go a lot better before they go bang (that is a fact unfortunately), however I had a similar thing happen to my Chimaera, one day it just felt as if the exhaust had become unrestricted, and the car felt as you describe. Keep an eye on the usual stuff oil consumption, water temp,
the car should be fine dont worry too much about it.
Perhaps something was just snagging somewhere!

You could have had a gungey throttle cable (or remains of a roadkill stuck around somewhere).

What you describe as the current condition is what it should be and go like.

Does the Cerbera have 2 return springs on the throttle cable like my Chimaera does? If one of these were to snap I can imagine the pedal would be much lighter, meaning you push it further without noticing and get more power etc ...

Of course this might be rubbish to someone who knows the Cerbera throttle assembly but I thought it was worth a try.

Unsure how the throttle is on a cerbera, but defiantely that could have been it. If you get some gunge in there, or if the cable slightly snags on the cam, then it stops you ever making full throttle....totally changes the car !!!!
