I had listed my T-slots on Ebay and they appeared to have sold yesterday. What really happened was evidently a classic scam, and I am reproducing below what Ebay sent me (I have masked the bidder's I.D.).

So (a) be dead careful with your Ebay activities, and (b) I've still got those refurbed T-slots for sale !

Thank you for your email about the winning bidder "XXXXXXXX" of your listing (item 270181054398). Please allow me to clarify this further.

As explained in our email (TKO Notice: eBay Listing(s) Removed), we
already took off your listing and credited all associated fees back to
your eBay account since it has been fully investigated and proven that
your item was bought by a third party using an eBay member's account
without their permission.

What probably happened is that an unauthorised user accessed the account
password of "XXXXXXXX" using a spoof email and then used it to bid
on your item. Unfortunately we weren't made aware of this until after
the listing had ended.

Once we became aware of this unauthorised activity, we took immediate
action and we're now restoring the account to its original owner. For
privacy reasons, I'm afraid we can't share any further details regarding
this member's account. However, please be assured that we're dedicated
to keeping eBay a safe and reputable place to buy and sell.

Your best option is to list the item again using the Sell Your
Item form or your normal listing tool such as Turbo Lister since it
won't appear in the "Unsold" section of My eBay. This is also the reason
why you can't give Second Chance Offer to other bidders. I am aware that
this is an inconvenience but trust that we only have your best interest
in mind.

I assure you that there is no negative mark on your account because of
this. We only removed your listing so that we could credit all of your
Insertion and Final Value Fees and prevent any further problems such as
Unpaid Item disputes or negative feedback.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this situation. I
trust that your eBay sales run more smoothly in future.

Kind regards,
etc etc

Tragicaly you guys are probably right. I must explain that to my wife next time "...for God's sake clear out that garage" surfaces as a light topic of conversation on the seasonal cocktail party circuit..........

Peter

A couple of solutions:-

1) Buy a shed
2) Buy another M series car to put them on!

Hope that helps

Fit the T-Slots and sell the wolfies. Lets face it every other car on the road in the '70's had a set of wolfies on, therefore there should be a larger demand for them in the classic car world, you may even get a bidding war going on.

Just out of interest, how much do you want for the T-Slots?

In this household all the cars are called by the colour and then 'shed'....as in the 'white shed', which by the way is on the stand at the N.E.C. this weekend, which is in fact the second time I have had a car at the N.E.C., (time does fly when you're having fun) the last time was I went there it was with my very FIRST TVR, 52 TVR's ago.

I'm waiting for John to go racing and perhap then.......
