For those who are interested, feel free to have a look at the pictures I have taken today at the NEC. Nice show, nicer cars, shame about the photographer but hey ho, it's the camera's fault for being old (that's my excuse anyway and I'm sticking to it)

Obviously there was much more to see but I ran out of memory stick.

Hope you enjoy. A few tasters:

Here's the best of my photos:

(Not great I know, had to choose a high ISO because of lack of light and haven't played with white balance yet nerd)

The Stratos has such a unique shape/look, tis a lovly motor for sure. Closest other road car is what, fiat x1/9 or TR7, hardly measure up looks wise let alone go well..

That I'd assume would be because it was the initial concept car which had a V12. A 6.2 with 500bhp. The V12 was binned for the production version because of emissions and replaced with a twin turbo V6.

It also had 4 wheel drive and active suspension!

It was binned because it was heavy expensive and didnt give enough power wasnt it, the v6turbo being more powerfull and lighter, cheaper and available?

Wasnt sure if someone had retrofited the v12 or if it could have been the show car.

The XJ220 was on Jaguar's stand and as far as I could see, was the original concept (it certainly looked that way in the engine bay).

The XJ220 was the original concept car - the cars on the Jaguar Heritage stand were awesome:

NUB 120 was there, as was HDU 555N (the last ever E Type) and the first ever E Type roadster.

I take my hat off to those guys for not being afraid to show such legendary cars.

The other thing to do with one of them is to drive into an attended service petrol station and watch the attendant try to find the fuel filler cap hehe

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought Lancia never made a Stratos with right hand drive. Therefore is it a fake replica?

Yup - the info beside the car said that - created in 1981 if I recall.

Great pics, but one small point of order - your Porsche 356 Speedster isn't a Porsche, it's a Tygan!
