I've tried the search but to no avail, so I'm hoping someone can help me!

I have an 18 month old Sony TX2XP notebook with a DVD writer. I put a CD (Rolls Royce parts list....so at least there's the motoring connection) into the drive and it started OK, although it wouldn't read the file. I tried again and it started making a horrible whirring noise as if the CD wasn't located properly. I had to switch the machine off as it wouldn't respond to any commands.

I re-started it and it blue screened saying "windows had shut down blah blah blah" so I tried again.

This time it's powered up OK, but it won't eject the CD either from the desktop button (it says "eject" on screen, but doesn't ) nor from right clicking the eject option on the drive in "my computer".

My question is 2 fold:

1) how do I get the CD out without using a hammer?

2) does anyone know the part number for a steel exhaust for a 1976 Camargue?

There is usually a small hole that you can stick a suitably bent paper clip into to manually get the cd tray to come out.

Sorry can't help with the part number wink
