I only tend to use it for sat nav. I did not use it for a couple of weeks and put it on charge with the mains charger/pclink and it won't do anything.

If I press reset it just comes up with the first screen and does nothing else. It will not switch on or off either.

Is it dead?

It's a Hewlett Packard iPAQ by the way.

Pumping the recessed reset switch with the stylus a few times while swearing has fixed mine a few times.

If you are happy to reset it to defaults you can try pressing down on the far left and right buttons together then, while holding the two buttons down, press and hold the recessed reset button with the stylus until the screen fades.

It may be that the battery is broken after being left for a couple of weeks. Mine was left for a couple of weeks and then would only hold charge for 60 seconds. I got a new battery under warranty. Hope this helps

I have had similar with mine, I took the battery out and then put it back in and it powered up ok, if you can get it powered up and have trouble, go in to the file explorer and then open the windows file and click on the file named "welcome" this will set it back to the start up screen but seems to do some sort of reset, mine stopped acting funny after that.

What was the exact combination of swearwords that you used? I used a wide variety on my iPod earlier, but have yet to find the perfect recipe.
