Hi Nicksey,
The car looks beautiful. I remember the feeling I had when I was waiting for the big day. Like you've, no doubt read elsewhere though, this is just the start. The car will get better and better, especially after its first service when it is transformed - much smoother to drive at low revs and much faster as you increase the change-up points.
Luca suggested you post him your pics so he can host them on his sight www.sleepy-fish.com I sent him mine last night and he's already posted them. Here's an example...

Luca, thanks for the offer - these pictures were pretty low res as they were taken quickly by the dealer because I haven't had time to go and see it before the weekend (thanks Gerald Flint@Peter Smiths).
If you would prefer some better pics I will take some over the weekend, if I remember to get out of the car and take some - I will mail these to you anyway as you are building up the best TVR image collections on the web but I don't mind if you want to wait for some better ones - let me know.

Thanks all for your encouragement and advice over the past 8 months (it doesn't seem that long since I ordered at the Motorshow, but its been a painful wait) - hopefully I will be able to contribute more to this forum after this weekend than pictures!
Anyway I'm off to throw-up 'cos I'm too excited!

Thanks Snakes, I know there has been a lot of discussion on here about the best run-in procedure - I take it that you increased your rev limit rather than just using full revs as soon as the 1k service was done?

RUNNING IN
Most importantly, drive fairly normally. Being too gentle with an engine when running in can be as bad as being too rough.
Although it is important to avoid full throttle or over 4,000 rpm during the first 1,000 miles, occasional bursts (c.5 seconds) of 75% throttle up to 4,000 rpm, will help to bed the piston rings in.
FROM COLD
When starting, please be careful not to let it rev straight up so please make sure that you do not give it anything more than a tiny bit of throttle while cranking it over and then lift off as soon as it catches.
Then try to avoid more than 3,000 rpm until the oil (not water) temperature has exceeded 40°C, 4,000 rpm until 60°C and 7,000 rpm until 80°C. If it climbs above 110°C, please keep the revs below 5,000 rpm until the oil temperature returns to normal.

It doesn't really mention anything after 1k miles although I generally tended to build up the revs with any new car that I have had. Is there anyone out there with some 'insider' info? When I first had the TT the dealer told me not to bother running it in and to just enjoy it, which I did until I got home and RTFM which said to keep revs below 3k until 600 miles then add 0.5k per 100 miles after that. Nice!
I suppose reading the manual and listening to what the dealer says is the best bet - I am convinced that the way a car is run in effects it for the rest of its life and the S6 engine needs TLC anyway.

My Tamoras now past 12,500 miles and I followed the same procedure that you've documented.
Basically I only 'ran the car in' for the first 1000 miles just as John R says.
After that it's just to allow the engine oil to warm up before increasing the revs.

Nah - there is an earlier thread about a number of people asking for suspension changes because the nose is too low - this is what it looks like afterwards!!!

Choosing which car to buy was easily sorted after test driving a number of alternatives in that price range... choosing the colours however - one of the hardest decision I've ever had to make.
They were getting pretty fed up with me at the factory when I went to spec up the car. Luckily I had a couple of schemes in mind depending upon what exterior colour I went for. I am pleased that the reasonably unique use of the colour contrasts looks OK. It must have been much easier buying a Model T - 'Any colour you like sir as long as it's black'.
Apparently the mulberry hasn't come out too well in the pics and isn't that orange in the flesh so to speak, more of a claret colour.
I've been trying to go for some subtlety with the exterior and interior - not that it’s going to make much difference when its on the move..... I was after a car that was the business to drive but wouldn't attract too much attention - you can't win 'em all.
I'm counting the hours.

Ive been studying the colours for a while now, and I'll be placing an order very soon. The colour looks just fine....is Iced Titanium a standard TVR colour ?? I've been looking at other cars on the road and have seen some simelar shades....Audi, Rover, Seat (!)......just unsure as to which shade wiil look the 'meanest' I'll be going for anthracite wheels for a darker look.
Love the mulberry too. I'm still undecided as to the interior, but its gotta be a two colour affair. Plain black won't have the look to show off the interior to its best.

Bomb, Iced Titanium is a standard TVR colour in the metallic range (so not too expensive) - they sell it as their alternative to Grigio Titano (Ferrari grey) although it isn't an exact match.
I toyed with the idea of anthracite wheels and they certainly makes the car look very aggresive..

The T350 picture from sleepy-fish was taken at the factory. The spec was Iced Titanium, a TVR standard metallic that looks the same as Grigio Titanio Pearl but half the price. The interior was black with mulberry seat inserts, dash bottoms, gaitors and lower doors, and piping, black stitching throughout.
I've based the spec of my T350T around this with some changes. I've chosen anthracite wheels, painted seat backs and unpainted carbon fibre targa panels. Should look stunning, it's one of the first and is due later this month. I saw it on the assembly line last week.
