can anyone advise me of how to take apart the door mirror,so that i can check the wiring,also where is the solenoid that enables the door to open on the passenger side thanks.

Door mirror strip is not simple. You need to locate an grub screw in the door mirror collar. Once loose the door mirror assembly should come away from the door. Wiring connections can be located behind the door speaker.

Door opening solenoid is behind a carpet flap in the side panel to the side of the seat back rest.
