Have been the last 2 years & hopefully again next year. Hope this input will help!
Tickets last year went on sale quite late through an agency but arrived in time, links through the Spa circuit site & the specific 24 hours one.

The racing is Thursday to Sunday so travelling home on the Monday makes sense but there has been a "parade" of some of the cars (25ish last year)into & out of the town of Spa on the Wednesday afternoon/evening. Great fun & lots of opportunity to get autographs & talk to drivers - and a glass of excellent local beer!! Perhaps travelling on Wednesday would be worth thinking about. Don't know about parade for 2008 though.

There's usually a pretty good crowd, enough to create a nice atmosphere but not so many that its impossible to move or that you have to queue all day for the concessions.

Its Spa - everywhere is great to watch from!! Certainly on practice days the last 2 years access to the roof area overlooking the pits gives a different view - can't do it at Silverstone!!

Sorry but don't do camping!!

Autosport described it as the best kept secret in motorsport - they're right IMO!! C U there!!

Well worth doing..!!

I went to Le mans and Spa 24 hours this year. I personally preffered Spa..!! less of the w*nkers that now attend Le mans!, that are there just for the beer. I drove down there, if your looking to camp - drive as close to the circuit as you can! you can pretty much camp on it for 10 euro's! no shortage of camping facilities!.
Tickets you can buy on the gate no problem.
Excellent food..!! love their mayonaise over there!.
I got up early on the sunday morning and drove down to the 'ring for a few laps and lunch!, then drove back to spa for the end of the race!.

Quality week-end! you wont regret going!, just keep it a secret..!! sshh!! haha!.

Will post pics later.

ticketing this year was crap, previous years done by proximus got band in the post whcih was the same as previous years (if you managed to get it off your wrist with out it snapping you could keep it probably why it was stopped) this year sent a voucher then had to queue to exchange for another voucher to exchange for a paper wrist band in the pissing rain at the highest part of the track, we q' those form other countries don't you can imagine how it got after an hour in the rain

we've stayed in malmedy, this year liege(??) slept in car no hard ship - 1 hr from mecca

malmedy is pleasant for a meal after race

far more relaxed as photos show (posted as irm), than le mans, as said no wrs pissed up, get to all parts of track and quite close (this year not as good)

get to go in garages at night, though it was clamped down on this year (spent several years in pit at night hoping from garage to garage post some picks when i can)
tickets go on sale in may/june

easy to get too, parking easy/camping if you want it

take a bike good roads around track

photo oportunites/vantage points reduced from previous years "improvements" for the short arse's circus that visted in september - so on balance 2007 was the poorest year compared to 2003, 04, 05, 06

still more access than le mans in all respects

Camping at Les Combes looked very civilised although few facilties as fas as I could see
The ontrack catering is fcuking wonderful - whoopy snacks provided very high quality chips and burger everywhere
Didn't need seats to see the start
It rained lots
Very knowledgeable bunch of people at the track and all there for the racing
You could buy tickets at the gate and that would be all you needed
