What a complete nightmare that junction is!

It took me 45 minutes to get from A to B last night. Has the sequencing of the lights changed recently because it seems to be getting worse?

I think you're butting up against traffic knock on from mains gas or water work on the Shinfield road (the main route on from Whitley Wood Road). There are some work arounds but they're not pretty either.

Just wait till they start pulling the bugger apart next year.

I live 2 miles from A,and if I can see a que from A (i can see it just after klampetts T-juc) then I go another way. It is a bitch, and when the floods happend it took me 2hrs to just past the old bell pub (near to where i live) to the m4 and back (the empty Brain James car trailer was fully under water under the railway bridgeyikes). I was supposed to be going to tamworth to collect my racer and then on to Snett but never made it.

I know the times in the morning and night when not to touch it so i don't.

Plus Junc 11 is like not other round-about, where no-one knows what lane to be in. ing retards! The amount of people who cut across at the motorway exits is unbelieveable, even with the markings telling you which ing lane to ing be in. For sake! if you can't read then how the are you able to ing drive?!

It's a nightmare. I work just to the north west of that roundabout and need to use it to get on the M4 to go west. People seem to lose their minds and just park their cars in the way of traffic trying to get on or off. I've never seen a place outside london where you can rely on more agressive and incompetant driving than can be found on this roundabout.

Me too. If I don't leave work at bang on 5 to get there for 5:10 I may as well stay at work for another hour or so. My 45 minute wait the other night was after 6:30 which is normally not too bad.

I've never known a roundabout with worse lane discipline and complete disregard for the yellow boxes.

So that's what it was! Took me one hour to get from Green Park to Thames Valley Park yesterday morning (via Whitley/Earley) banghead

Incredibly stupid and short sighted plans for the revamp of jc11 (but this is RBC, and they are only interested in helping buses and causing congestion for cars). Essentially all they are doing is adding bus lanes to jc11, where NO BUSES RUN. The only suitable remedy is a flyover for the A33, avoiding the junction completely.

Whilst the disruption that would cause would be horrendous I'd be happy with that for the long term gain.

Although they'd probably just go for a stupidly complicated set up a la Handy Cross.

Look how many sets of lights RBC can add - to disrupt control traffic flow even more!

Yeah, just look at the A34 junction (J13) just down the road, okay it was 2 years of roadworks but it has made it so much easier through there now.

I heard the lights were fooked that night. Took me 20 minutes to get from the Jag garage to Acre Road opposite the B&Q Retail park. I turned around in the end and went A4 to Jct 12 to get home.

that jct is a nightmare - it can take 15 minutes to get from Reading town center to the M4 or it can take an hour!!!

I've learned now that if the dual carriageway is packed solid its normally the lights that are fooked and everyone starts blocking the on/off roads so no-one moves. The last time this happened a coach coming off the M4 blocked the roundabout and absolutely no-one could move for ages, the knock on effect goes all around the roundabout until its blocked completely.....

What really s me off about that roundabout is when you come up the eastbound off-slip, the first two lanes are for the A33 towards Reading, the 3rd lane is for Whitley Wood Lane and the A33 towards Basingstoke, and the 4th lane is just for the A33, but you always get the tts who use lane 2 to avoid the longer queue in lane 3 and then cut across the roundabout for Whitley Wood Lane! furious

Nothing gives me greater pleasure that stopping these cocks from cutting in and making them follow the A33 towards Reading instead!
