Were Mclaren not meant to be entering a B Team with Prodrive this year, or is that next year?

Not been reading the motorsport news much recently? smile

Prodrive have been forced to withdraw because Williams threatened to go to court over the legitimacy of their entry (using customer 2008 Mclarens), and because the new Concorde agreement hasnt been signed, its all a bit up in the air whether customer cars (ie Aguri and Torro Rosso) will be allowed long term at all, so Prodrive couldnt enter with so much uncertainty and no long term security.

Well, the precise answer may depend on the sense in which one means "retired".

Hold on. Wasnt there a big fanfare for him at the final GP of 2007, (Brazil), hence why I was under the impression that he had retired? Isn't he now getting pretty close to Riccardo Patreses record for the highest number of Grnd Prix started?
There was some pre-Brazil GP speculation that he might retire, although that was not taken seriously by most people. Honda had issued a press release in July stating that Button and Barrichello would be their drivers in '08.
Barrichello has had 249 career starts; Patrese had 257.

Testing times for Ralf.
Recon he wont get a drive next season but big brother may get him a seat testing in Maranello. Something tells me he'd be too proud to take hand outs, even though it will see him in a good position for an 09 seat.

I'm not sure big bro would risk his reputation to recommend him to be honest. And the humilation of only getting a job because of Schuie senior would surely be too much to take, although his desperation for a drive has already made for pityful reading.

Yeah but the point of this thread was to have a definative list, there's plenty of others threads for speculation of who could be going where.

Sounds like a reasonable idea, but i think you'd have to let the area below know just in case the irritating tw#t survived and started trying to blame ron dennis or mcClaren or blah or blah or blah... i think a nice magnum 44 should cure all their ills yes

problem with that idea is that his chin would probably deflect the bullet in the general direction of ron dennis, or LH....
