Hi there,

Nipped out this morning to take my brother in law for a job interview. On the way I drove past a small local prestige car dealer. I knew that they had been appointed as one of only two official Gumpert dealers for the UK and was stunned to see a brand new Apollo parked outside.

Popped home for my camera and returned to the dealership this afternoon.

I have to say thanks to Felix and the team at Benz Bavarian for letting my get some shots of this superb car. It really is a stunner and is a pleasant alternative to some of the other supercars I have been lucky enough to photograph.

Here are the pics. Please click on a pic to see the full size image as P/H will automatically re-size them.

The eagle eyed amongst you may have spotted the White Diablo VT in the showroom.
I had to get some shots of this also as it was a particularly interesting example.
Does anyone know the history of this car ??
The inscription on the sill reads "World Cup Champions 2006"

Hope you like the pics.

Regards

Tim

When I look at it, I tell myself that I SHOULD hate it...it just doesnt have the beautiful lines most cars I like have...but for some reason...I LOVE IT!

(looks better in blue IMO)

It does have prescence. Not my cup of tea though. Looks like a sort of VX220 / Noble sort of thing. How much ? quite a lot I guess. Cut to the chase it is an ugly, dissjointed looking kit car

As far as I remember they were approx £190k for the lower powered one and £250k ish for the more powerful version - 650bhp
Just had a look at performance figures on their (Gumpert) 'site, acceleration is errr rapid

Gumpert Apollo Technical Data said:
Acceleration 0-100km/h / 0–62 mph 3,0
Acceleration 0-200km/h / 0–124 mph 8,9

It looks awasome in red. Classy I think.

A black one would look like a Batmobile, which also looks imense.

Would like to see one in yellow. That would really show the lines off.

I'll have one in each colour please..... see which I like the best.

I thought they were way, way more expensive than that... Like upwards of 500k. I'm probably wrong tho. ETA: I'm wrong smile

How about this one?

Bloody hell, that's some piece of kit!

I think I'd have it sans rear wing - like the Orange one above.
