Hi,

Can anyone point me in the right direction to which companies offer good Management training.

I would prefer home study, and i can train over a period of time, rather than someone come to my work for a couple of days.

I have looked at ICS and learn direct, but anyone know which would be better?

cheers in advance!!

I used RDI .. www.rdi.co.uk for my business management degree and they do a number of other short- and long-term courses and affiliated with a number of universities. Pretty good company, no complaints. Got me through my course, got a first-class and would use again.

I guess it depends what you want, places such as the Chartered Management Institue could be a place to start, and of course many collegs/unis do them as well.

If you wish to specialise in any particular aspect, that would have an effect.

thanks for the info so far, i will look at the site.

I am looking for courses in the area of managing people. Dealing with staff, motivating, work loading, ensuring i am getting the most out of people etc etc.

I am going to be running a company soon in the next few weeks, and i do have managment experience, but feel that a course will help me loads.

I would also recommend having a look at the Chartered Management Institute courses. If you think it would be useful long term you can get qualifications from them and I am pretty sure there will be places offering distance learning courses for these. I have delivered the marketing module for the CMI diploma in the past and that module is pretty comprehensive, so I am sure the others will be too.
