I'm sure that you know that CC is fighting the local newbie noise police, and has been for sometime! Even after spending 10s of £000's on improvements and noise reduction...they still complain and will only (it seems) be happy when the place is closed! Add your name to the petition below, to give the local Council some ammo to shoot the nimbys down. after all...the track was there long before they moved in!!!

please post out to all your mates who use the place.

have signed....as no doubt have many others, but am guessing you won't get too much exposure here. how about asking PetrolTed if it can be shifted to the front page or one of the main forums - should get loads more through traffic then?

Done mine, but is this not a new one? I thought that it was OK for 2007 and the 2008 diary is looking quite good. Are we sure this wasn't for the last lot of noise orders?

I thought this went to court and the judge told the complainants that if they wanted to avoid noise they shouldnt have moved near a race track?? confused

Im pretty much there every track day/event. Either as a driver or spectator, shame to see it go and will make it difficult for me to enjoy my weekly allowance of motorsport.

You can bet your bottom dollar if they close CC down a housing estate will rise from the ashes with 20% housing association.

Now let me think what I would prefer scratchchin

my folks come from the Isle Of Man and you get people moving there
and then going " oh could we please stop these bike people "
why live near a track. Castle Combe opened in the summer of 1950
so if you moved there after that don't moan simple !shoottank

Guy's don't worry its out of date the order was served on the circuit in 2005 when it was running the GT/F3 meetings its something that somebody dug up that as usually stay's on the web.

Oh and castle combe is not in the middle of nowhere ask the nimby's at Yatton Keynal that's where the complaints came from and there were only 5 of them just typical the minority won in this case the circuit can only run race meetings with a noise level of 108dba so back to national meetings instead of inetrnationalfrown
