Anyone selling their Tamora?

I considered selling mine last month. 03/03 2,500 miles, Red Bull Blue, Portland/blue trim, 18" spyders, upgraded stereo.
Majority of dealers said it was worth about 30-32K as a trade in but no one would put pen to paper and write me a cheque. The dealer I bought it from offered me 25K!
Needless to say I kept it and am loving every minute of it!

I got it from Tim at ACT on a recommendation from Rob McGregor who has the same one. It was £380, but sadly didn't fit. The lugs that hook through the rubbers at the back point in the wrong direction. I do know how easy it is to get the old exhaust off though, it was only once I'd got that far and offered the new one up I noticed the problem !!! As for warranty ... I've no idea. I don't see why it should affect it.

It turns out that TVR have altered the fitting arrangements, so if you go the Sports exhaust route make sure you know which version you're replacing. The lugs for the rubber mounts stick outwards on mine, others point forwards .... the joy of TVR ownership.

It does indeed Marcus - I got the nod the Tuesday after we spoke at Pistonfest. Just waiting for all the paperwork to be sorted out, and then, hmmm......

Have your insurance company written the car off? or is it repairable? I dont think i,d want it back after that shunt! The main thing is your ok its just a (special)car. What happenend? or are you not saying at the moment
TONY I'm not really sure what happened - I wa braking on a dry, straight road, near to home, and the next thing I knew I was sliding through a cornfield, upside down, having flipped over on a large rock (which split in two) after crossing over the road without hitting anyone.
It's a miracle I survived, everyone who's seen the car (Police, salvage, insurance engineer)has said I should be dead, but I didn't even get whiplash. The car was resting on the seat backs, boot lid and windscreen bar, and I had to kick the side window out to get out.
It's a sad end to a lovely car, no doubt someone will rebuild it, but it needs a new chassis and everything else replacing.
But it is a testament to the strength of the Tamora chassis and the energy absorbing effect of GRP. Shame that ABS might have prevented so serious a crash, but that's a debate for another day.
