So looking for a new job and had a bunch of annoying recruitment companies pitch up and be hopeless, also had two that have been awesome! I know the areas in which I want to focus and the companies and I rather like the idea of getting those recruitment companies who seem good to represent me to certain companies I name and in certain industries. As I am looking for a salary which is somewhat above average they will obviously make a few pennies out of it as well.

My question is are there companies that specialise in doing this kind of thig or does one simple find a couple of decent seeming agencies and ask them to represent me. Both have offered to do so already but I want to make sure I am doing thi in the best way being as I have no experiance with recruitment companies on this level before.

It's best to get a recommendation off a friend/colleague, there are a lot of good guys, and a lot of cowboys.

If you post up what area it is, there may be a PHer who can physically help - I know there are many here.

Mainly looking at mobile, m-commerce, content etc or pre-paid debit cards.

Just coming off the back of being Head of Biz Dev and working on the strategic, PD and marketing teams of the most successful pre-paid debit card launch in the UK and possibly in Europe, which is nice really! The parant company is a fairly huge telecoms company so I was involved in some other bits there as well related to telecoms.

Mainly interviewing for jobs in the above areas but open to suggestion.

Wish I read this post a year ago laugh

I wasn't allowed to recruit in this arena as my boss thought there wasn't a big enough market to make money banghead

PMSL!

I reckon I was comfortably builing to £4m per month and presently, maybe 600k. Not bad or a early stage launch!

I was told last week that m-commerce was "pointless, it will never catch on!". Same guy told me when I started up a web development company that the "Interweb is just a pssing fad!".

Anyhoooo, found two ok companies and had a few interviews but nothing is really getting my juices going.
