Fernando - have you jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire, or will you make sure your new co driver will be held back?

Young Nelson was mega quick in GP2 as was Lewis.

None what so ever,Alonso has No1 status which is why Flavio had to drop Heiki.

To quote Kevin Keegan, I would love it, just love it, if Alonso found himself in the same position at Renault next year as he did at McLaren this year.

He'll have learnt from this mistake this year - he's Numero Uno for 2008 (in the same way Ferrari & possibly much of the rest of the teams operate).

I do wonder how that's managed & how no.2's are forced to adhere to team rules - guess finishing higher than team-mate when asked to yield makes it the last race of the season...

I know that sons don't always emulate their fathers, but if Nelson jr. is in anyway as good a driver as snr. then Fernando will have his work cut out.

Couldn't you just ignore it then?

Yes, of course; but do you not think it makes sense to avoid duplicate threads?

I didn't realise there was one already going on this precise subject. My apologies if there is. It would surprise me though as this news has only just been announced.

Un-favourable pit strategy usually does the trick. Not getting the latest parts too.

I swear Jean Todt used to have a red button for Barricelo (sp) when he was giving Schumi a run for his money hehe

I disagree. He'll give Alonso a bigger headache, in the psychology dept, if not on the track if the equipment isn't equal, than Hamilton did this year.

So when will the FIA appoint a scrutineer to insure the PK Jnr gets equal treatment at Renault as they did for FA at the last race in Brasil ???

So what about the FIA enforcing the rule about no team orders ???

Renault got off last week without penalty so Show man Bernie could get FA back in the championship and keep the ratings up.

2008 Fecking fixed already !

That'll be amusing then as Piquet Snr set the template for Alonso when he got a bit irritated at Mansell doing well when they were teamed at Williams...

Just as soon as the FIA receive copies of text messages between Alonso and one of the Renault mechanics discussing the McLaren cars and strategies (only if Renault are getting a bit too close to Ferrari though).

Such allegations about such a reputable, honest and impartial organization? I say good day to you sir!

(and everyone else too for that matter, hi!)
