Leon TDI FR V's Skodia Octavia Vrs Tdi

I am guessing most here will say the seat is better, but is there a big diffrence between these cars.

What area's does the skoda win & what does the seat do best, or are they that close it is drive them & take your pick.

I should point out these will be new cars.

The new shape Leon is looks 'bigger' than the new Octavia, due to the bodyshape etc.

To be honest, I doubt there is much in it with regards driveability etc, so I'd say it's a case of drive them both and see which you prefer!

Personnally I prefer the Octavia's styling to the new Leon, there's just something about the Leon that I don't like....

and that's coming from someone who's owned 6 seats on the trot !! (traitor I here you say!!!)

The only negative thing I'd say about the Skoda over the Seat is that it has awful front seats (Vrs). I spent less than three hours in the passenger seat of a Vrs TDi estate on a spirited drive, and suffered from real back ache (adjusting the seat didn't help much). The driver said much the same.

Oh, and funnily enough, his current car is a Leon TDi.

This is the very choice I made 10k miles ago, used to have an Octavia TDi Estate and asked for three quotes on a vRS TDi Hatch and a Leon FR TDi. Got two quotes from the Seat sources and no interest at all from the Skoda garages! So I went for the Seat.

Absolutely love my Seat but miss the interior of the Skoda, everytime I see one on the road I wonder if I have made the right decision. Have a go of both and see if you can live with the woefull Seat dash and poor backseat / boot space.
