Just been stopped for speeding
Discussion
Pulled over by a Transit in the "Met" area, the very nice BiB said he'd had a report from "Thames Valley" of a green Noble "Doing well in excess of 100 mph...something something Golf Tango Oscar".
I was let on my way after a check of my licence and insurance after being told "If Thames Valley" request your details I'll pass them on...it's up to them what happens"
Can this bite me in the ar5e later? Or are they unable to prosecute as they don't know how fast I was doing? (My car is the only Noble in the world this colour so I think denying it was me would be pretty futile)

This is an opinion, not a technical answer, but I would have thought that they would need a stronger case to identify you apart from the colour of the car - even if you *think* there is not another orange one, how would you or they actually know?

OP - says the car is green.Bert
i'd say you wont hear anymore from it, if they want to so something they normally do at the time.
At this stage one can never know with any certainty what the strength of the evidence is when the 'alleged' speed of V6 letters x 3 was seen travelling at. Did they get a check? Was the stop aborted because of circumstances?. Did they get sufficient to ID V6? etc etc.?
It is presumed that when stopped they did not use the magical words " you will be reported for the consideration of the question of prosecuting for dangerous driving/exceeding a speed limit." This is the verbal NOIP but as it was not given at the time then it will not wash and if they want to proceed then they will have to send a written one (14days excluding date of offence). 2359 30th and nothing received you can breath easily.

If they have sufficient evidence of the limit being exceeded
So how would they know what speed I was doing if they didn't even get my full reg?vonhosen said:
