I am thinking of getting a gun for personal protection. Have been advised that this is the one for the car and person:



And something like a Mossberg pump action for the house.

Anybody here know about such things?

And if somebody breaks into your house and you shoot them won't you go to prison for a very long time ??

Nah, moving somewhere where kidnapping and general banditry is pretty common.

The revolver was recommended because it is less prone to jamming at the crucial moment than an automatic and it has no hammer so less likely to get stuck in clothing. Also very light so easy to carry around.

For personal protection and the car I'd be inclined to go for this :
