ford puma brakes

can anyone shed any light on the rear brake drums on a puma ?
tried to remove the drum only to find some sort of multi nut with locking flanges .
is this normal or has it been mucked about ?

When you take the grease cap off? the 32(IIRC)mm nut? Got any pics to help us understand?
