I know Rapid GB, Monkfish, and Wortec seem to have a good reputation, but how on Earth can you charge £1700.00 or so for an exhaust and remap? I would love to have it done, but it's a lot of money to me, is it worh it?. Don't look at US or AUS price's you will cry!!
No offence to any of the above companie's just wondering that's all.

Will be the labour charges for getting it all done, cant imagine the exhausts taking 5 minutes to fit especially as theirs two and the re-map can probably take hours to get right if done on the rollers or out on the road.

Difficult I am about to do it the same work (exhaust/ECU) on a scooby if you shop around comes to around £1000. Its about the size of the market and what you can charge for what everyone says is a premium service

You do get 2 exhaust sytems though don't you rolleyes 2L 4 cyclinders can run through one pipe after the manifolds unlike 6L 8 cyclinders!! A single system has to cost around £600 ish ( for a well made stainless ) x2 plus the remap.
just my 2 penny

I don't think Rapid GB charge that much for the DiFillipo?

Thanks for input, just checking to see what other owners think.
After shock. I have black cv8 face lift model. If you live in Cleveland whatch out, I believe a Monaro was stolen last week, don't even ask what I would do to the offender. Prison is not enough!!!!

I have to add that Wortec delivered for my 'ro on the dyno. Just 13 Bhp behind a 6ltr running 12 psi. Shows how good an LS1 can be tuned. clap

Go to Bells or Longlife. . A lot of the cost is in the sports cats at 600 quid for a pair add 350 or so for the remap thats 950 before you've added the exhaust.

Give longlife or bell a call as they might be able to sort you out with a cheaper alternate option - just no remap. But then some of us have EFI live with spare tune licenses....

ETA though my recomendation would be to go down either the Wortec or RGB route to get the full package. The basic remap alone is worth it

Moi? I'd spend my hard earnt with Mark or Roger and get it sorted or if I do have a spare vin license I suppose we could do it - however you would need an LC-1 and have it installed prior to using efi live. Easy to do yourself. Ringram sells the LC-1s (as do Monkfish and Rapid I imagine) and also Ringram does sell EFILive. Cost for an LC-1 is around £120 if I remember so you are almost paying the price for the tune anyway!

I'm not sure exactly where the car was taken but I think it was one of the villages North of Stockton.
