Don't forget, they like to charge in the UK, where if you take a squeezy jet to Jerez, you can walk around for freebies! And the weather is much nicer too.
Tests over there don't tend to be big PR events like they are at Silverstone.
Though that can always change when they sniff a chance at a fast buck or euro.

How long have they been charging for, the last test session i went to was about 6 years ago at which time i am sure it was free?
Jerez sounds like a good idea, might have to look into that option, just seen the cost of tickets for this years race too, paid £150 for a 3 day pass sitting in club corner stand b last year, this year thats not an option and all tickets seem to be over £210
