I can't seem to find the "jar of grilled peppers" in order to give this a go. Picked up the spices at the weekend. If I cant find the grilled pepers ill give it ago without and see how it comes out.

That does sound good!

I guess the jar of grilled peppers is the same as roasted peppers you get in jars? You could roast some of your own then skin them ... although it can be a bit fiddly.

Not tried it yet. Just doing some rice. The meat is so suculent and just flaking. Smells good though. I might have used to much water though frown says to cover the meat with water, but I think the meat started to float and didnt spot it at first.

Not bad, like I said I think I put too much water into it. I might syphon some off before I reheat it tomorrow and add a bit more heat, spice wise.

Nope just for me. I had not eaten all day so probably went overboard with the portion as I was hungry, I didn't eat all the rice though

Syphon off the liquid with some lumpy bits (sammler ones better). Chuck in broken 1" bits of spaghetti or tagliatelli, and heat it up for a bowl of gulaschsuppe with chunky bread on the side.

I've made this a couple of times now. The slow cooking makes the pork melt-in-your-mouth tender, and it is delicious.

Not bad reheated, nice easy dinner tonight. Still a little watery and I would prefer it a bit hotter, maybe some extra chillies next time.

I've just stuck a batch of this in the oven -it smells divine already.

Had to make a few alterations though. The queues in Aldi were far too long to bother getting red onions (only remembered about them when picking up the rabbit carrier from the pet shop next door, at 3.45 it was pushing it to get to another shop) so they are now white onions. Tesco's downstairs didn't have any jars of peppers, caraway seeds, or red chilli so that has become an extra tin of tomatoes, ¨herbs¨ (unlabelled pot that smelled sort of pizza herby), and a massive helping of really rather hot paprika along with the sweet one.

Then I misread the destructions and grilled the peppers until blistered rather than using them whole and then adding a jar of roasted ones.

Still, it all smells good biggrin
