Never heard of them myself, only ever used Milltek and Sebring on my old VR6.

A quick google and it seems they are part of the Tenneco group of companies which includes Monroe suspension systems.

Anyone else? Appreciate any info on them people may have (espc wrt VR6s/Corrados)-

Was looking for a std exhaust as opposed to a stainless steel job..

I fitted a walker system to a Volvo about 10 years ago and it lasted well, bit cheaper than the manufacturers but built to a good standard, no complaints from me. Dont expect it to improve performance its more of a direct replacement of the standard system.

I sell walker exhausts at work they very rarely seem to fit without 'issues' better off with a bosal imo!

That doesn't sound promising- have you any experience of Corrado centre&back boxes?

Nope sorry chap! If it doesn't rattle and sound nasty I wouldn't worry too much they carry a 2 year warranty anyway!!

My company sell Walker exhaust and they are the best of all the exhaust made in standard form. The reason is simple they are exactly the same as OE as they supply the majority of their production to the OE manufacturer. They are made in the same jigs in 99% of cases as the OE as they only have one production process, unlike others who make two standards.
The fitability is top notch but where the mechanics report issues it is usually due to marrying up a Walker bit with a spurious part from other manufacturers.
Walker is owned by Tennaco who also own Monroe shock absorbers and many other quality OE brands around the world.
You will have no problem with your purchase so long as it has been fitted correctly and is not onto a none OE quality part.

Cheap brand.

I had one on a runabout and it only lasted 2 years.

Cheers for the feedback all..

Took car for a drive yesterday- heard a loud (heavy sounding) clunking'knocking noise when going over bumps etc.. seemed to be coming from the rear left hand side

Could be something with the suspension but my guess is something in the exhaust..

Front section/downpipe was not changed but this should be the original VAG part, crawled underneath car and tried giving the new exhaust sections a bit of a 'wriggle' but couldn't get anything more than a few mmm movement which seemed be from the flexibility of the exhaust itself so it seems secure and 'tight'- but does leave me wondering where the 'clunk'/knocking is coming from if not the exhaust..

PS:- just had rear brakes and bearings replaced too..

Check the rear suspension properly.

It needs to be dropped on a Corrado to change the exhaust.

Did you price up these parts at a VW dealer using their Parts Club for older cars? I got a genuine VW downpipe, centre silencer and rear silencer for my Scirocco for £90 + VAT. If it lasts the 15 years the original system lasts I'll be happy enough at that price.

For older cars VW are 9 times out of 10 cheaper than most other place for brakes, exhausts, water pumps, lights, radiators, bearings etc and the parts are much higher quality.
