...where can i buy Castrol TWS Motorsport Oil 10/60 for my Z4M Coupe as none of the usual suspects seem to sell it (Halfrauds etc)? I have had a quick search on the net and there seem to be a few places but I don't want to get ripped off.

TIA

I've not seen TWS oil on sale for a while...

I changed the oil in my M3 today and used Castrol Edge Sport 10W60 for M powered BMW's. I bought it online from opie oils - http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-715-castrol-edge-10w-6...

Whether or not its any different from normal castrol edge 10W60 I'm none the wiser.

This bunch sell it http://www.geo-broughton.co.uk/products/castrol-lu... but you have to buy 12 litres.

Will BMW honour the warranty on the engine if Edge is use instead??

Cool, I had a snout about their site and they do 16L packs of TWS as well.

Not sure about the warranty issue when using 'Edge', it is 'BMW Approved' but I think you would be better asking BMW first. I didnt give this any consideration as my M3 is pretty old.

Don't worry about it. The Edge is the new approved oil.

Saves about £6 a litre over normal BMW dealer rates.

Just had this back from BMW...

Dear Mr Cooke

Thank you for your further email.

We would confirm that, as discussed on the telephone, the oils that are recommended for your BMW are as follows:

Castrol TWS Motorsport 10W-60
Veedol Synthetic Z 10W-60

We can confirm that this is the same oil that is recommended for the M5 which may be why it is not easily available. We would advise that you should be able to get this oil from the Parts Department of your nearest BMW Dealership.

We trust this guidance will be of some assistance to you but if we can help you again at any time in the future, please do contact a member of the BMW Customer Information Team.

Yours sincerely

VERY helpful. Also I'm not putting something that sounds like weedkiller into my engine wink so I have ordered some Castrol Edge 10W-60.
