Well, almost.

Went and viewed a Black M12 3R today, interesting test drive but I had to fix it for the current owner first. smile (Rear Turbo wastegate actuator rod wasn't connected to the wastegate arm pin).

It has a few minor cosmetics which need sorting, other than that, it seems in generally good order with 17K miles on the clock. So, deposit paid, and collection hopefully by next weekend. cool

Time to start working out what's going off prior to upping the ante a little. wink

Haha, that's safe at least for a while. I want to know intimately what's doing what in there first, so we'll be data logging, measuring and analysing for a few months yet I think.

We're right on the verge of a move to new premises as well, which is going to consume most of my time until completed.

Work will be in progress from the day after I get my hands on it though, who says we can't multi-task? tongue out

Haha, OK then.

Friends had a bet as to how long it would be before I started modifying the car, the lowest was 5 days; it seems that was a little conservative. (It took circa 38 hours). tongue out

It now has a light window tint, ( visually stunning improvement on a black car) and smaller number plates are on order, so far we have more than 100 different photoshop options as to size, spacing/location possibilities (a book is being opened now as to how long I can get away with that). The rear one will be re-located, as I have plans for the rear vent for future intercooler modification flow assistance. wink

I've already found the restriction to forward view caused by the internal rear view mirror to be unnacceptable, and have a potential "fix" in progress. cool
More on that if it works, as it's an issue on the scale of having brakes that work in my opinion!

External mirrors; they are the same as on our works Rover van, so they will be coming off imminently, several options at the moment, again, I guess a little money and some experimentation is needed before I succumb to the "already known" options. smile

We're fitting monitoring equipment, including temp gauges and a permanant wideband AFR gauge to see where attention needs to be focussed when we switch ECU to a fully mappable system (with knock control) Wahoo!

So other than that, when's the next "meet" where I can put some faces to names Etc. And WTF is that thread with the HID lights info? tongue out

Nice one mike, didnt have mine 5 minutes either before i was tinkering! Just done the HID lights! AWESOME! PM me if you want any info regarding kit prices and fitting as some guys have said all the wiring kit wont fit inside the headlight unit but with a little bracket it does you just gotta know where to mount the ballast. Regards Gar.

I'll upload something early next week, none of this stuff ever looks quite the same "in the flesh" though.

Hi Gar.

We'll have a look at that when the bits arrive and judge it as we go.
Hopefully we may be able to squeeze a bit of trade discount, but as we're not really gonna retail this king of thing, it doesn't always help?

We see "customers" as far away as Malta and Russia. (as well as Australia, Japan and the Bahamas.

Define "way up North" in that context.
