Bluefin superchips

Hi guys am looking to buy a bluefin superchip for my focus rs , 2nd hand from e-bay or something like that. Problem is the the re-setting it??? Av been told a few differernt storys on this and they have been very mixed! i even called superchips and they said that you cant re-set that chip but i no that its possible and alot of people buy these 2nd hand. if any1 can help me out or even knows anywhere that deals with this kinda stuff as superchips.co.uk are fukin useless cheers brian

The only time superchips will reset the bluefin is if you purchased it new and have the original purchase receipt - they wont reset 2nd hand units purchased on ebay, etc as otherwise they as a company are not making any money - you have to bear in mind that a lot of units sell 2nd hand on ebay but most of these people buy, realise they cant be reset and just have an expensive paperweight Have seen it far too many times from posts on the rsoc over the last couple of years

Someone shells out for a really nice Focus RS and then goes to Ebay for a chip? Is it just me or is that a bit mad?

Get yourself a Dreamscience remap!!!

Cheers! think its safe to say buying a new chip will be the answer spose your right if your gonna do it .. do it right! but as am only jst turned 21 Zad am still young for insurance on a rs ££££ doesnt grow on trees m8!

as mentioned above get a dreamscience i had one when i had my RS makes a hell of a difference!
can be used on 5 different RS's before need a reset so holds its value a bit better,you can adjust loads of engine parameters yourself(safely)
Well worth it!
You wont be dissapointed!

I have Dreamscience on mine which im really impressed with and as the previous thread states it can be used on 5 differant Focus RS so if you pick one up 2nd hand no reset problem as long as the previous car was put back to standard.
