Anybody out here had this experience? Have a Chimaera 4.0lt HC 1995 which has suddenly started to throw out rather alot of water which is rather browny/grey on start up from cold.Have been told it is running 1.37% too rich, however on the adjustment for this it will only let it run richer and not any leaner!!! does anybody know if there is a connection hidden somewhere for the engine management system? or similar need to be able to check air setter apparently. Can anybody help? Has been missing a little ie running on 7 cylinders guess is because the plugs are sooting up due to running rich, any advice /help would be most useful.

Cheers fellow TVR lovers

No adjustment is possible unless you have the same set up as Mark Adams. Sounds as if one of the sensors has died. Take it to a TVR hospital and get them to plug in the fault reader and see what is going on. Could equally be an ignition problem as well.

PS How do you know it is running 1.7% too rich? Is that from an MOT or what?

Agree with Steve need to get it looked at, however had similar proplem on start up after getting car out of hibernation a few months ago my guess would be a Lamda(oxygen) sensor it was on mine anyway a friendly MOT man would help! Tony
